About Us
Who We Are
After attending Georgetown University and serving in the Marine Corps, Paul Missett entered the insurance industry in 1966. Paul understood that his friends and family would benefit by having a financial plan for the future. By becoming an expert in the field of insurance, he grew to become a trusted advisor to countless families and businesses. He remains so today.
With the addition of Barry Missett, CFA in 2002, investment management and financial planning expertise were brought into Strategem Wealth Management (formerly the Missett Group). Like Paul, Barry recognized that having an investment strategy for his friends and family would enable them to meet their financial goals and dreams. Early in Barry’s career, he noticed self-investors emphasize chasing the latest stock or fund more than they do their financial objectives and tend to make decisions based on emotions. This can lead to poor investment decisions that can be costly in the long run, as these self-investors may end up losing money on investments that have not been carefully researched. It’s important to invest with a plan in mind and to take a disciplined approach to investing, considering potential risks, growth potential, and overall objectives.
Today, with more than 100 combined years of investment, financial planning, and insurance expertise, Strategem Wealth Management is well-positioned to help our clients plan for and meet their financial ambitions.
Investment Philosophy

Carefully. We will help you formalize your financial plan. We will help implement the plan. We will communicate and make changes in the plan as the markets and the family circumstances warrant. Ours process is dynamic because life happens.
